My experience preparing Yamaha pianos for the concert hall and recording studio has taught me what can be done beyond standard procedures to bring the most out of your piano. In addition to tuning, I have extensive factory training in touch regulation and tone regulation. I can also address harp issues such as downbearing and tuning stability on site. Having done so many different kinds of factory supervised modifications to Yamaha grand pianos over the years as a factory approved warranty repair centre, I know what can be done to improve the performance of your piano without compromising its potential, or threatening your warranty.
I perform regularly scheduled maintenance (tuning, voicing) in my normal service area which covers Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and of course Centre Wellington. I also travel regularly to the GTA for major service work, such as custom regulation or finish repairs on polyester finishes, as well as dealer support. My work takes me across Ontario and, on occasion, across Canada.
(My best service call was to Bermuda for Lloyds of London. Yeah, it’s a rough life.)
